Subsription Extensions and Advantage Packs
Note: Subscription Advantage Packs and Extensions are available for all Revit products, the contect below is just an example of that available for Revit Architecture
The Autodesk® Subscription Advantage Pack for Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2010 extends the capabilities of Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2010 software. Productivity-enhancing functionality and features better support modeling, coordination, and documentation, while improved tools help you work more efficiently within the software.
In addition, new applications that complement Revit Architecture 2010 workflows help you:
Validate the accuracy of building information models created in Revit Architecture 2010 against pre-determined standards
Import and export data between a Revit project and an external database, and then more easily maintain the relationships of linked data
Facilitate the use of building information modeling (BIM) for building renovation projects by creating 3D models from 2D digital photographs
Subscription Release Pack for Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010
Improve productivity with the Subscription Release Pack for Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2010:
Gain exclusive access to new functionality and tools that support efficient architectural documentation and the creation of curved beams, slanted columns, trusses, and more.
Work more efficiently with greater control of keyboard shortcuts and improved access to some frequently used commands.
Access the latest updates available for Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2010 software (Update 2).
Revit Extensions for Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010
Revit® Extensions extend the capabilities of Revit Architecture 2010 in key areas, including modeling, coordination, and documentation. This pack contains updates to previously released Revit Extensions as well as 2 new features:
Content generator—programmatically generate structural steel, concrete, and wood section families for beams, columns, and materials based on national standards databases
Wood framing—more quickly and precisely model a wood frame structure within interior and exterior walls
Autodesk Revit Model Review
Automate the process of reviewing and auditing BIM projects in Revit Architecture 2010 with the Autodesk® Revit® Model Review plug-in:
Check the accuracy and consistency of a model against standards set by your firm, your clients, or industry best practices.
Correct inconsistencies with a single click or with instructions provided when manual fixes are required.
Autodesk Revit DB Link
Import and export data between a Revit Architecture 2010 project and an external database, and then more easily maintain relationships of linked data with Autodesk® Revit® DB Link.
A grid view of the data enables you to make any final edits before import.
Databases can be updated following internal or external changes.
The grid control enables you to create Revit shared parameters to add new fields to related tables in the database.
Changes to new fields within the database automatically update Revit shared parameters upon future imports.
Autodesk ImageModeler 2009
Use 2D digital photographs to more quickly and cost-effectively create, edit, and texture 3D models for building renovation projects and energy-efficiency analysis. Bridging the 2D and 3D worlds via DWG™, Autodesk® ImageModeler™ 2009 software enables you to:
Capture building design elements
Take measurements
Create 3D models based on the form of existing buildings
By leveraging models developed directly from the physical environment, ImageModeler 2009 helps architects better integrate improvements or renovations in BIM projects.

Contract Manager, Coordinator & User
Did you know that as a subscription member, the person whose name appears on the Autodesk contract will need to register to Autodesk Subscription Centre to give access to all users?
Not sure where to start?
· A Contract Manager receives renewal notices and has full contract related privileges within Subscription Centre. They give access to named users.
· The Software Coordinator is named by the Contract Manager to receive email notification to order or download applicable new releases or extensions and to receive shipments of upgrades. They can also name users to access the Subscription Centre.
· A User is any person invited by the Contract Manager / Software Coordinator to access the member only Subscription centre, including e-learning and web support. They may also be granted download privileges for upgrades.
How do I change user(s) or change user access to downloads etc.?
Access the Subscription Centre and click on View / Edit Users found under Manage users in the Subscription Administration.

Impression 3
Impress your colleagues and clients with compelling presentation-ready graphics created directly from your DWG? and DWF? files. Autodesk® Impression design presentation software is easy to use, saves you time, and recognizes data from your CAD files.

Impression understands CAD data, so the illustration process is much faster than with general-purpose graphics applications. Core features include:
-
An intuitive, easy-to-learn user interface
-
Prebuilt and customizable graphic styles?from pencil to watercolor fill
-
Complete CAD compatibility, including blocks, layers, hatches, and other CAD-specific data
-
Built-in learning resources
Creating custom style libraries in Impression is currently a laborious and time-consuming task. In order to create a new library you have to manually copy/create each style and modify the color of individual style elements one by one. The Style Book Wizard automates this process by generating a pre-determined number of color variations based on an existing "source" style.

Block Identification
When you roll over a block, a special ToolTip identifying the block name will appear and the cursor will indicate if it is a block, a substituted block, or a multiblock.
Block Creation
Quickly create a block from a selection on the canvas directly from the right-click menu
Global Style Controls
In Impression 2, a global style control called "Resize Style" was added to the Layer Editor. In Impression Corradino, there are two new global style controls - global rotation control and global hue control.
New Layer Tools
The Tools Palette now contains controls for turning layers on and off as well as isolating layers.
Layer Filters
A new 'Filter Selected Layers' button on the Layers palette toolbar allows you to create selection filters so you can easily see only the layers that you need.

Whose using Revit?
Want to know who is using Revit? This is a great concept developed by Steve Stafford: Revit Inside
Steve is collecting a list of all firms using Revit around the world who are open to collaborative design work. So if you ar using either Revit Architecture, Structure or MEP, why not join this rapidly growing list?
